Hello and Welcome!

Hello and welcome to the Warner Leisure Hotel’s blog!

A story that takes you on a journey of discovery at our 13 locations, lets you know how to make your break that extra bit special and keeps you in the loop with brand new things coming up for Warner.

Warner provides short breaks just for grown-ups. Over the coming weeks and months I’ll be taking you behind the scenes at Warner, sharing lots of details about our team, the food made with love, and care and the character in every location.

You’ll get to meet expert gardeners who have been with us for over 15 years, unbelievably talented chefs, and many other members of the team whose dedication and eye for detail help to make a Warner break an unforgettable experience.

Everyone comes to Warner to have a good time – well isn’t that what holidays are all about? So, we have made this blog to be an open space for discussion about topics we think will interest you. You can look forward to reading more about:

  • The history of our buildings
  • A peek behind the scenes from our entertainment team
  • Top tips from our gardeners
  • Mouth-watering recipes from our chefs for you to try at home

You can also expect details about what’s happening in and around our locations so you can stay in the loop until your next visit.

All our team members can create posts on the blog and read your comments. We’d love you to get involved too and share your stories and experiences. Why not take a look at our Facebook and Twitter for further updates.

Guests often say Warner is a like a “home from home” and we look forward to welcoming you soon, whether you’re one of our treasured regulars or it’s your very first visit. Enjoy!

  1. Hubby and I have just returned from a short break at Littlecote House and what a fabulous time we had. Accommodation, food and service were spot on. The evening entertainment was superb and the compare was such a personable and professional young man (wish I had taken note of his name – all I know about him was that he had an eight month old son). Thanks to all the hard working staff at Littlecote for a super holiday. I will look forward to receiving your full questionnaire.

  2. Smedleys social club decided to have an Easter break trip at Bembridge coast isle of wight as we had heard many good reports about Warners breaks. It was a fabulous weekend break. The hotel staff were very friendly & polite. The restaurant had a wide selection of starters, main course & desserts for everybody which were delicious, also the waiter/waitresses were polite and very quick especially Tom. The entertainment was very good overall we all had a very good time and looking forward to organising another warners break.

  3. My partner and I have just come back from a lovely four days at thoresby hall hotel never been before . We had a lovely time so relaxing ,my partner was so pleased we went on the walk with hawks we have lovely photos of him holding a eagle owl everyone was polite and friendly .we can’t wait to go again .

  4. I have just returned from a short break at Nidd Hall Hotel near Harrogate. This is the first time I have visited a Warner’s Hotel, but it won’t be the last time. I stayed in one of the Historic Rooms, and you could have held a function in it, as there is so much room. The food in the Rawson Restaurant was excellent, and the carvery was an added bonus. The entertainment provided by the team was first class, and I particularly enjoyed the Dream Lover show on the last night. It was a fitting end to an enjoyable break and I hope to return to one of the other sites at a later date. Also, do Warner’s have any plans to open a hotel for their Scottish clients, as Nidd Hall is the nearest location for us currently?

  5. This was our first stay at Holme Lacy. Lovely location and gardens. Clean and comfortable room. Extremely friendly and attentive staff. Very good evening entertainment.

Wanted to give a special mention to the chefs, Catalin and Dave who were able to accommodate our dietary requirements and provide the best food that we’ve ever had at a Warners hotel.

Very minor moan that the rooms don’t have WiFi, but this didn’t detract from the overall experience.

I’ve posted a review on Trip Advisor.

    We definitely intend to return!

  6. My very first Warners holiday – Littlecote Hotel was top class.
Excellent food, friendly staff; spotlessly clean, everything you need.
Special thanks to our charming waiter Enrika, who made meal times very special. Can’t wait until next year when my group go to Sinah Warren.

  7. Just got back from 4day break at sinah warren, and we had a lovely time plenty of activities on offer, lovely seaview from our signature room, very spacious as my husband is disabled and needs a mobility scooter to get about. Our waitress called Sylvia Swizteh was alway’s smiling and very cheerful, also a young chef called John-Luke on the buffet serving fish in the evening’s and pancakes in the morning was also an extremely pleasant and asked us each day where we had been and recommended place’s to go.The only down side to the break was the T.V. In the room did not work properly, they tried to fix it,but we’re unable too!!!! (Need’s replacing!!). The food was very good and everywhere was clean..we recommend this venue..

  8. Our first holiday with Warner’s and certainly not our last visit to Cricket St Thomas. We are coming to visit you again twice next year. Everything was great; the entertainment; lovely food; kind and thoughtful staff. My husband is coeliac (gluten free) and it was wonderful for him in the dinning room where he had so much choice. Thank you all so much for a really lovely time. Especially, to Steve, James and everyone you were all amazing! Trish Gambold.
