Music, dancing and champagne at the Warner Concierge Club

Petrina Simmons, General Manager and her team celebrating at the wondeful event!

Making sure guests have a fun and memorable time when they stay at one of our properties is something that all the team strive to achieve. When people choose to book again and either re-visit the same property, as many of our repeat guests do, or travel to another location, we’re always delighted. As our way of saying thank you, we decided to start the Warner Concierge Club. The idea was to show our appreciation to our most loyal guests who visit us five times or more in a period of three years.

Gunton Caberet DinerThat was back in January 2011. The idea took off like no one could have expected and just over three years later the Warner Concierge Club has grown so much! These Club guests visit our country hotels, coastal hotels and coastal villages on a regular basis. Benefits of accepting the invitation and becoming a Concierge Club member include receiving regular news updates from the team at Warner, along with special offers and invitations to club events.

The last Concierge Club event took place at the beautiful Gunton Hall coastal village in Suffolk this January, and we were joined by lots of members keen to celebrate the club’s second birthday. Events kicked off at 2pm and before long balloons were being released, flags flown, birthday cake eaten and the champagne was well and truly flowing! To get everyone in the mood the Gunton Hall entertainment team sang a selection of well-known songs from different musicals, which really had everyone on their feet dancing.

Emma and Tin winning the Glitterball tropheeOf course there had to be a birthday surprise, and it came in the form of the Glitterball Madness dancing contest. Managers from the hotel all got in the swing of things, along with a professional dancer, and after they’d performed their routines, club members voted for their favourite pair. Emma from Gunton’s entertainment team and Tim the bar manager walked away with the amazing prized Glitterball but most importantly, we were able to raise over £100 for our charity of the year – The Royal British Legion.

We’re delighted that our guests have taken the idea of the Concierge Club to their hearts and we’re proud to welcome them back time and again. If you’re planning a return visit, why not have a look at our daytime activities section for some ideas on how you can help make sure every break at Warner is different. There’s so much going on you’ll be hard pushed to fit it all in!

The ones starred were booked by my friend Dr M Bird and not myself: perhaps it only works for the one who actually books??? Oct 2011 Alvaston; Oct 2012 Nidd*; April 2013 Alvaston; Oct 2013 Bodelwyddan*; Nov 2013 Nidd; March 2014 Gunton Hall; Oct 2014 Holme Lacy.
