Like the Dales, the moorland here is home to a huge variety of wildlife and the area has been confirmed as a special protection area for merlin falcons and golden plover.
A short trip to the spa town of Harrogate is a favourite day out for many guests who come to stay at Nidd Hall for a Warner adult break.
