Old Gaffers Festival comes to the Isle of Wight

There’s nothing more we love at Warner than live music and great entertainment, and there’s a real treat in store for anyone who is planning to book late breaks at Warner Leisure Hotels on the Isle of Wight at the end of this month. Between May 31 and June 2 there will be music and dancing galore as the Old Gaffers Festival comes to the island.

Every year, more than 100 sailing boats, steam and motor vessels from all around the country head to the natural harbour at Yarmouth to participate in the Old Gaffers Festival and enter the numerous races which take place throughout the weekend. This year’s festival is set to be extra special as it’s marking the Old Gaffers Association’s golden jubilee and the great news for guests staying at Norton Grange Coastal Village is that all the action will be just a matter of minutes away.

Norton Grange

Warner’s Norton Grange Coastal Village is about half a mile from the town’s harbour, where all the entertainment will be taking place. Food stalls, street entertainers, vintage vehicles, a real ale tent, magic, singing, dancing and storytelling will all form part of the weekend. There’ll also be a craft fair, comedy, drumming and performances from the London skiffle orchestra, Caribbean Melody Steel Band and The Dance Preachers folk and blues band. A full list of all the performers can be found on the festival website.

Book a weekend break with us and you’ll be treated to all this and much more. There’ll be a full programme of entertainment at the resort as usual, along with a huge range of activities to try from bowls to rifle shooting. For more information on what you can expect from a holiday on the Isle of Wight with Warner and to book your stay at the Norton Grange Coastal Village, just head over to the main site.
