There’s talk that the unsettled weather we’ve been treated to in recent months might actually give way to some sunshine over the coming weeks, with temperatures improving to near, or slightly above, average by the end of the month. The southeast is expected to get some of the best weather so if you’re planning a break, why not consider heading for Corton Coastal Village in Suffolk.
The team at Corton have been hard at work over the last few months, not only adding the finishing touches to the new Clifftop Lodge Rooms, which opened in time for Easter, but also landscaping and revamping the outdoor areas and leisure facilities.
The Clifftop Lodges are painted in bright ice-cream pastel colours and look like traditional beach huts along the sea front. The lodges with a living room, bedroom and luxury bathroom, have a fun nautical and seaside theme throughout. Porthole windows, deckchair-style linen, ice-lolly cushions and paintings of sandcastles on the walls. When you look out the window of the Clifftop Lodges you’ll be amazed at how fantastic the view is! You can see the sea, hear the waves and enjoy your own private patio and deckchairs. Why not treat yourself to a glass of wine or a couple of hours reading a book? Bliss!
Our new games lawn is perfect for couples and friends who want to do battle in the sunshine! Get stuck into a giant game of jenga or chess, or alternatively pick up a putter and try the nine-hole crazy golf course. Have a game of short mat bowls or French boules, or perhaps just take the weight off your feet after a tough game with a seat by the bandstand. Keen for something a little more energetic? How about a dip in the swimming pool, before taking in some sea air by joining in with a guided tour down to Corton Beach run by a member of the leisure team.
There’s nothing quite like enjoying a summer or autumn hotel break with Warner when the sun is shining. If you want to make the most of the good weather then head down to Suffolk and let the team help you enjoy a fabulous short break by the sea.
Three nights in a Clifftop lodge, 21st June, sleeping two, costs from £325 per person.
