A fantastic rock ‘n’ roll extravaganza based on the hits of sixties legend Billy Fury has been given the ultimate seal of approval – from the late singer’s mother.
Guests at Bodelwyddan Castle Hotel in North Wales were treated to an evening of non-stop hits last month as The Billy Fury Years – 30th Anniversary tour came to Warner.
During his career, Billy spent a total of 332 weeks in the UK charts and equalled The Beatles record of 24 hits in the 60s. And the night’s set list won the approval of one very special VIP – Billy Fury’s mother, who was spending the weekend at Bodelwyddan and was in the audience that evening. She certainly helped to make the event even more special.
Michael King and his band will be performing their Billy Fury show once more for Warner guests enjoying a break at Littlecote House Country Hotel in Berkshire tomorrow night. Don’t worry if you’re not able to make it to Littlecote though as the show will be back in 2014. Confirmed dates so far include July 18, 2014 at Bodelwyddan and August 1, 2014 at Littlecote.
